3-23-25 Dinner for 3 6:02 Ambiance - Pleasant Italian restaurant & decor. Parking- very adequate ....Four Seasons Shopping center. Handicap parking by front door. Hostess - Young ladyDressed in short shorts and headband. Not impressive. Actually looked out of place. Waiter - Michael was very polite, efficient, & excellent. Food - Iced tea was very good and refreshing. Spaghetti with meat sauce was large and very tasty. Small House Italian salad - loaded with croutons and delicious Italian dressing. Very good and satisfying. Small Pizza with onions, mushrooms, and green peppers. Leaves a lot to be desired. Penne Con Broccoli - Large serving pasta that was extremely delicious. Complimentary bread and butter with the dinners. Decent Covered overhang dining tables outside to enjoy beautiful Spring weather.

Food is outstanding here. A little hole in the wall restaurant in a strip mall has been serving St. Louis for over 35 years that I'm aware of. Their house salad dressing is the most superb dressing in the city of St. Louis. Their house salad with the rope, Proval and the fried croutons is my favorite salad in all of St. Louis. Their pizza is very good and they're entrées are very good as well. Just make sure you order the salad whatever you do.

We had lunch at Talayna's today. The food was excellent. I had the best cannelloni I've ever eaten. I highly recommend it. And the house salad dressing was delicious on the salad, too. My husband got the pizza and lived that, too. Service was a bit slow, but there were only two servers on a really cold day, so they may have been doing double duty. I'll definitely be back!

Wow! When we lived in Clayton, we loved the funky atmosphere of the Talayna location on Skinker and Forest Park. It had these huge stained glass windows salvaged from some church. Their pizza was the best around. Now gone. Much later, we moved to Chesterfield and were surprised to discover another Talayna's close by. Mostly, our experience has been carry out pizzas. After a long drought, we bought a 20" Manhattan. It was as good as we remembered it. Inflation has taken it's toll but, hey, what hasn't? The carry out was on time, pleasant service and hot. Who could ask for more? We'll be back soon.

Normally I give this place five stars. It's really a good family owned Italian restaurant with great pizza, pastas and salads. The food was great but two things annoyed me. I arrive for my pickup at the time given and my stuff wasn't ready. As I walk in the young hostess doesn't even look up from her phone and says something to me while still looking at her phone. I go to the bar, my order isn't ready so I left to pick up a prescription down the block. About 10 minutes later I return and get the exact replay with the hostess. She never even glanced at me as I walk in the door five feet from where she's facing. Head down looking at her cell phone and I walk past her. I hear the guy in the kitchen say six minutes on the stuffed mushrooms so I'm thinking they hadn't even started them until a couple minutes ago which is about 30 minutes after I ordered on line. I'm not too mad about the delay because they usually have everything ready and... things happen. So I get my food (which was great as usual) and the hostess and I ignore each other on the way out.

I recently visited with a large group (45) family and friends for dinner. Leanne (sp?) was our server and she was amazing. The food was delicious and presented at the right temperature. I was so hungry I forgot to get a picture of my salmon and asparagus. But I really wanted to give kudos to Leanne. It was a major undertaking to wait on that large of a group. Please let her know how much we appreciated her service this past Sunday evening. It is nice to have a server who is attentive. I will definitely come back to receive great service.

Updated review, the aroma upon entering is mouthwatering and sets the ambiance for what to expect. In my opinion they have the absolute best salad dressing around ( it's an anchovy garlic base) and the thin crust is great too. Daily lunch specials are a plus, wine availability and large area for big groups.

Good restaurant with great selection of offerings on the menu. Prices were moderate. We had a fantastic waitress who really saw to it that we had a positive dining experience. The restaurant has three different inside dining areas, and an outside dining area along the street.
